⭐ My Pick: Best Overall
Bewitched Walking Tour of Salem: Best Overall Witch Tour
If you only have time for one witch tour in Salem, Bewitched Walking Tour of Salem is my pick.
This walking tour gives you a little of everything, including the Salem Witch Trials, local history, witchcraft, and the stories and legends that shaped Salem. It’s a good choice if you want more than just 1692 history without going completely into modern witchcraft.
🧙♀️ Best for Modern Witchcraft
The Salem Witch Walk
If you’re interested in modern witchcraft as well as Salem’s witch history, The Salem Witch Walk is the best fit.
Led by a practicing witch, the tour explores witchcraft traditions, beliefs, and Salem’s history while incorporating interactive elements along the way. Choose this one if you want an experience centered more on witchcraft itself than strictly on the events of 1692.
📜 Best for Witch Trial History
Salem Uncovered: Salem and Witchcraft Historical Walking Tour
If your main interest is the 1692 Salem Witch Trials, Salem Uncovered is the strongest history focused option on this list.
Led by professional Salem storytellers, the tour digs into the people, events, and accusations that shaped the Witch Trials while separating documented history from the legends that developed later. The tour concludes at the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, making it a good choice if historical depth matters more to you than modern witchcraft or paranormal stories.
🌙 Best Night Witch Tour
1692 Salem Night Walking Tour
If you want to explore Salem’s witch history after dark, the 1692 Salem Night Walking Tour is my pick.
Led by a local historian and practicing witch, this two hour walking tour visits historic locations connected to Salem’s past while focusing on the Witch Trials, witchcraft, and the people behind the stories. Choose this one if you want serious Salem history with the atmosphere of a nighttime walk.
🔮 Best Psychic Experience
Psychic Bewitched Tour with Tarot Reading
If you want something more immersive than a traditional walking tour, the Psychic Bewitched Tour with Tarot Reading combines Salem’s witch history with a personal psychic experience.
This small group experience explores Salem’s history and witchcraft while also including tarot and palm readings. It is longer and more expensive than the other tours on this list, but it offers something completely different from a standard history focused walking tour.
Choose this one if you want witch history combined with tarot and psychic experiences.
💙 One Last Thought
For a first witch tour in Salem, I’d choose Bewitched Walking Tour of Salem for its mix of Witch Trial history, Salem stories, and witchcraft.
The best witch tours in Salem offer very different experiences. You can dive deeper into the 1692 Witch Trials, learn about modern witchcraft, explore Salem after dark, or add a tarot and psychic experience to your visit.
Pick the one that matches the side of Salem’s witch history and culture you’re most interested in exploring.
