What Snowland Activities Are Included With Your Stay

One of the best things about Snowland is that you do not have to buy a separate ticket for the main holiday activities. Great Wolf Lodge includes its Snowland special events and activities with your stay.

Families can expect holiday activities such as the Snowfall Celebration singalong, Frosty Fest family dance party, Snowland Bingo and games, a lodge wide scavenger hunt, seasonal arts and crafts, and visits with Santa on select days and times. Activities can vary, so check the lodge schedule when you arrive.

Snowfall Celebration

Yes, it really snows inside Great Wolf Lodge. The Snowfall Celebration brings the Christmas atmosphere into the Grand Lobby with falling snow and holiday music. It is one of the experiences that makes Snowland feel like more than simply a stay at the water park.

Visits With Santa

Santa visits are also included during Snowland on select days and times. Check the activity schedule during your stay so you know when he will be available.

Evenings are part of the fun too. Great Wolf Lodge regularly includes family activities such as story time, character appearances and dance parties with overnight stays, making it easy to change into pajamas and keep enjoying the lodge after a day at the water park.

💡 Worth the Plan Tip: Start with the Snowland activities included with your stay before adding paid extras. There is already plenty to do, especially when you factor in time at the indoor water park. You may find that your family does not need many extras to make the trip feel special.

What Costs Extra at Snowland

The main Snowland activities are included, but not everything at Great Wolf Lodge is part of the room rate. Paid resort attractions such as MagiQuest, arcade games, mini bowling and Build A Bear are separate, and Great Wolf also offers seasonal packages and experiences.

For Snowland, one optional add on is the Snowland Bundle, currently advertised from $49.99 and including holiday themed items such as a backpack and winter wolf ears.

Snow Globes at Snowland

This is the Christmas upgrade I would highlight. Grapevine is one of the Great Wolf Lodge locations offering the Snow Globes experience. Families get a private holiday experience with treats, activities and a choreographed holiday light show. Reservations are required, and Great Wolf recommends booking ahead because availability can sell out.

The Great Wolf Lodge Experience

Snowland adds the Christmas magic, but this is still Great Wolf Lodge. The indoor water park and family friendly rooms are a big part of what makes this different from visiting a Christmas attraction for a few hours.

You can spend the day in the water park, change into Christmas pajamas, and head back downstairs for Snowland activities without ever leaving the resort.

The Indoor Water Park

The indoor water park is included with an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge, and it is a big reason Snowland works so well as a winter getaway.

Instead of worrying about December weather, families can spend part of the day swimming, riding water slides, and exploring the indoor water park before heading back to the Christmas activities around the lodge.

Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine keeps its indoor water park at 84 degrees year round, so it can feel like two completely different vacations in one: a water park getaway and a Christmas trip.

Rooms and Themed Suites

Because Snowland is built around an overnight Great Wolf Lodge stay, your room is part of the experience too.

Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine offers traditional family suites as well as themed suites designed especially for kids. You do not need a themed room to enjoy Snowland, but they can add another fun element to a Christmas getaway, especially for younger children.

Book Your Great Wolf Lodge Snowland Stay

Snowland makes Great Wolf Lodge an especially fun Christmas getaway because the holiday experience is built right into your stay. You can spend the day at the indoor water park, enjoy Snowland activities throughout the lodge, and end the evening surrounded by Christmas lights and decorations without having to drive anywhere else.

Room rates can vary by date, especially during the holiday season, so it is worth comparing your dates before booking.

💙 One Last Thought

Great Wolf Lodge is already the kind of place where the hotel is part of the trip, and Snowland gives families another reason to make a stay out of it during the Christmas season.

I especially like that you do not have to choose between a Christmas getaway and something the kids can actively enjoy. You can spend the day in the warm indoor water park and still have Christmas trees, Santa, snowfall, and holiday activities waiting when you dry off.

For families looking for more than another evening of Christmas lights, Snowland offers a completely different way to celebrate the season.
